W. BRUCE WOLD, ESQ. Mr. Wold has earned a reputation on the West Coast not only as a top trial lawyer in high stakes litigation, but also as an excellent communicator with an ability to relate to all counsel and parties. He has participated in more than 100 mediations across the United States and has sat locally as a settlement panelist and mediator for more than 20 years. His expertise, based on more than thirty years of litigation experience, is wide ranging, including product liability, (automobiles, aircraft, industrial and consumer products), personal injury, professional negligence, employment cases and insurance disputes. Mr. Wold also has substantial experience with real estate matters, business disputes, and class action litigation. A Charter Member of the Mediation Society, Mr. Wold has long been an advocate of mediation. He has lectured to various groups on mediation, including the Mediation Society and the American Arbitration Association. He is known as a very practical problem-solver, with an ability not only to understand complex legal issues, but also with the sensitivity and desire to understand the complex and sometimes difficult relationships among parties and counsel. BACKGROUND Mr. Wold recently retired from Sedgwick, Detert, Moran and Arnold, a 350 lawyer international law firm based in San Francisco. As one of the firm's senior trial partners, he chaired the firm's 100 lawyer Complex Litigation Group. Because of his skills at working with people with differing opinions, he headed the firm's Partner Compensation Committee for several years, and was a founding partner of the Attorney Relations Committee at the firm.
