JUDGE HADDEN ROTH

ADR EXPERIENCE & SPECIALTIES

After four years on the Marin County Bench, Judge Roth chose to return to the practice of law in the areas of Land Use, Environmental Law, Local Government, Contracts, Real Property, Civil Litigation (personal injury, professional negligence, family law, construction, employment, and property damage). He has perfected his ADR skills as an advocate, mediator, arbitrator, special master and former Judge.

Judge Roth is a panelist on the 1st District Court of Appeal Appellate Mediation Program, a program that selects and trains certain individuals for the purpose of resolving cases on appeal.

Judge Roth is a panelist in the ADR Program at U.S. District Court, Northern District (Cal), Sonoma and Marin Superior Court ADR Panels. FINRA and the American Arbitration Association (AAA). He is past president of the Mediation Society.

Judge Roth has developed a calm approach,whether in arbitration or mediation, providing the intelligence, flexibility and ADR skills necessary to get the job done. He has handled hundreds of cases from every perspective.

ADR TRAINING

Pepperdine School of Law: Basic, Advanced Mediation, Maximizing Mediation; Center for Mediation in Law: Fundamentals and Advanced Mediation; U.S. District, Northern District (Cal) ADR Program; Steven Rosenberg, Tony Piazza, Marshall Rosenberg; additional mediation/arbitration workshops and seminars; over 700 hours of training.

ON THE BENCH

Judge Roth served on the Marin County Municipal Court from 1966 to 1970; also serving as Judge Pro-Tem for the Superior Court during that period. He has served as hearing officer for the Mendocino Coast District Hospital, Petaluma Valley Hospital, and Redbud Community Hospital.

MEMBERSHIPS & EDUCATION

He is admitted to California State and Federal Courts and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California.

Judge Roth has a JD from Hastings College of Law; BA. from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a graduate of the California College of Trial Judges.
