ADR EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALTIES

Mr. Garfield's ADR experience includes the resolution of insurance disputes, including health, disability and bad faith claims, reinsurance, business disputes, including business torts, (unfair competition, false advertising, trade dress infringement, interference with business relationships, partnership and corporate governance disputes), professional liability claims, real estate disputes, personal injury claims, such as defamation and invasion of privacy, and disputes between customers and securities brokers.

Mr. Garfield has particular expertise in employment, wrongful termination, legal and medical malpractice, harassment and discrimination matters - clearly understanding both sides of the dispute.

His knowledge of the law, intellect and highly developed ability to relate to people - "people skills" are exceptional. As co-owner of an audio-visual staging company, Mr. Garfield clearly understands the underlying issues which may or may not be "at issue". He brings a soothing, calming style to his ADR Practice.

Mr. Garfield has served as Judge ProTem - San Francisco Superior and Municipal Courts; Discovery and Case Management - Superior Courts; Mediator and Arbitrator - American Arbitration Association.

Mr. Garfield has thirty years of experience as a practicing trial lawyer. His practice emphasizes securities litigation, the defense of professionals, including accountants, lawyers, directors and officers, securities and commodities brokers, insurance bad faith and business disputes.
